Annabelle, What are some of the most memorable events to you?

There have been so many...

One is where we flew our artists to Cairo, Egypt for the Grand Opening of their World Trade Center. We had different genres of music every night. It was a huge success and great fun riding camels, seeing the Pyramids and delving into their food and culture. Our hosts were so warm and gracious. 

Another was the 100th Anniversary of Wall Street which took place at CIpriani's Wall Street. We had an amazingly talented 24 piece Orchestra with a surprise Latin component. We had professional dancers flown in from Argentina. They performed the Argentine Tango for Queen Maxima of the Netherlands (Princess at the time) who was from Buenos Aires, Argentina. The percussionists and horn section were magnificent. We had royalty, dignitaries and celebrities from all over the world among the 1500 guests.  It was truly spectacular!

Another was a b'nei mitzvah. The daughter loved bling, pink, glitz and pop music. The son liked grey, minimalist, rock. It was so cute to see the twins so happy with the end result and compromise.

The weddings have all been so special, whether for 25 to 500 guests, they have all been meaningful.

I did love one particular wedding where we had an Indian bride marrying a Scottish groom. We had a sitar player sitting at the bottom of the stairs at the Great Hall of the Metropolitan Club for the cocktail hour. Then the bagpipers came in during the dance sets. I love the "marrying" and melding of two cultures and traditions. 

There was another with Chinese Ehru players during the ceremony to honor the Chinese bride and her family. Soon after, we were doing the hora to honor the groom and his family. Oh the joy!

 

Another was having 20 Spanish guitarists for a Hollywood channel launch at Cipriani's 42nd St. It transported people to Barcelona, Madrid and Rio de Janeiro. I felt like a proud mom!

I love our high energy bands who are so brilliant and so, so good at what they do! They absolutely love what they do and it shows throughout the event. Even the most shy or awkward person can't help but move and dance. The rhythm section, vocalists and horn section's energy are totally infectious and the music will transform you!

There is something truly magical about intimate events and weddings. One was at a vineyard in California. Another in an old historic church in Florida. Another for a small group at Restaurant Daniel. So many events were at Windows on the World pre 9/11. All have been truly special and memorable.

There was a magnificent corporate event at Lincoln Center. And another at the New York Public Library. Another at Grand Central Station New York. Another at this beautiful home in the Hamptons. I could go on and on.
